A huge part of organizing the home business is to focus on organizing your technology around you & your business process. A lean thin technology will save a lot of money & yet will be highly productive.

I had mentioned sometime back on using a cell phone as a branding device as well as being a technical helper. We have organized our business on a few selected technology products – Motorola hardware & Motorola Cell Phone Accessories, LinkSys, Blackberry & Acer to name a few on the hardware side.

You should not be wasting time connecting devices or wiring up your computers to keep your backup or retrieve the file that you had saved on your office computer.

The next is branding – there are several great ways, easy & affordable ways to start branding. I have seen several small business owners out their logo on their phone covers. You could get a generic cover or one of the better looking stylish Motorola Cell Phone Covers & press your logo for less than $10.

The next place to brag about your business is the faceplate itself. Faceplates are removable casings for your cell phone. And having your phone branded with Motorola Faceplates would be unique. This also gives you the advantage of brand associations. You are, in a way, leveraging the well known Motorola brand to your advantage by linking it to your own.

Gifting your customers with cell phone accessories bearing your own logo is another great way. It could be a little expensive, but if you are able to work out a deal with a local printer, then it will work out cheaper to you.
