There are numerous beautiful wall paintings & murals close to Memphis downtown. I wrote of some of these street murals in an earlier post:
Walking along the Front Street into B.B. King Boulevard I met one artist who just started on a huge Mural at the junction of the 3rd Street in Memphis. He guided me to a few more in the vicinity of B.B. King Boulevard, Beale & the 3rd Streets.
A short drive from 3rd Street towards Lamar Avenue, I spotted this Fire Station turned African Arts Council house with a painted shutter & some beautiful murals along its walls.
I will be photographing this neighborhood over the next several weeks, looking for murals and wall art & posting them as often as I can.
