Fine Arts – An Artist’s Dilemma

Background: A series of images that depicts the normal day in a life of an artist. Anyone can discover science, artists invent art. Civilizations have depended on art & artists to express that which cannot be contained in words or speech. However, modern society & commercial aspirations of commodity based cultures have objectified art to something that is not reveled but something that has to be possessed if one wishes to be in the clout of the rich & the famous.

It is an irony that while many of the rich & the prosperous have always been the biggest sponsors of artists, that has dwindled over time. With fragmentation of communities, the stagnation of the middle class and the general apprehension of parents of losing their child to poverty, artists and certainly the quality of artists in the current days have diminished.

This project, very close to my heart, is to capture an artist through their daily life of creation, aspirations, obscurity and manifestations.
