The Big Apple along with the most beautiful Upstate is a photographer’s paradise. I started photographing New York City back in 2001 documenting the street musicians. Since then I have taken probably over 7000 shots that included street photos, documentary photos as well as natural landscapes upstate.
This is a small collection of some of the images. For more such images, visit Shop Art page & the New York Fine Arts page.
Manhattan Skyline
The heart of the “Big Apple” Manhattan is the most densely populated of the 5 boroughs with the Manhattan Island and bordered by the Hudson, the East river & the Harlem river.
The Brooklyn Bridge
The iconic Brooklyn Bridge was the longest suspended bridge in the world when it opened in 1883, connecting the boroughs of Brooklyn & Manhattan. Today, the Brooklyn Bridge is a celebrated landmark in the New York City landscape.
Central Park
While I have seen Central Park photos in color, for some reason, I always associate New York City with monochromatic semblance. Almost all my images from New York City, especially those in Central Park, are done in black & white.
Downtown Times Square
Times Square is the heart of the city with thousands of tourists every day of the year. The amazement in their eyes, the eagerness to be in Times Square and the thrill in their footsteps are very contagious!

Street Musicians of New York City
One of the most interesting aspects of this fabulous New York City are it’s street musicians & buskers. They can be found all over the city.
During weekends in summer & early fall, street musicians will assemble at the Central Park & create an atmosphere of fun with their music while tourists and passers by will stop & dance to their rhythms.
One can never accomplish photographing this fascinating city. However, with each click of the shutter, a little bit of the city and the landscape, its people, its struggle, its fight and frustration has been etched into my memory and my heart.
