Prouts Neck is where the road ends into rough rocky edges of the Atlantic Ocean. Along the Winslow Homer Road, a small country road leading away from the busy Interstate 95 into Scarborough, the end of the road also had a small bird sanctuary of Maine.
Prouts Neck was about a mile from the house, a quick and easy drive for a couple of minutes, landed me in one of the most secluded, untouched, pristine coastline in Maine. One can spend hours listening to the waves crashing onto the boulders below the cliff, interrupted only by the chatter of birds at times.
This is a continuation of Memories of Maine series – abstract & imaginative paintings done in acrylic & canvas of the natural beauty of Maine.
