Endless Roads

A collection of black & white & colorful roads & back roads of mid-western & mid-southern Americas.

The characteristic flat landscape of American mid-west mid-south region could seem very mundane and uninteresting at the first glance. But once you settle in and see the land for what it is and not what it could be, the region comes back into life with its stillness and its ubiquitous presence.

Winter Roads in Black & White

West of North Carolina & extending into Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri into the west, the landscape is not as flat as it apparently seems. The undulating land with deep roads winding through the uneven lands, lined up with beautiful, strong trees of Tulip Poplar, Ash, Black Oak, Black Walnut and others, make almost every road vanish into eternity.

The long backroads of Tennessee, Mississippi & Arkansas are lined with trees that display their immense strength & grace all through the year.

American Beech, Black Gum, Cottonwood & HIckory often form dense sidelines, while many of these endless roads run through acres of wide open farm lands.
