Memphis Backroad Foliage

Tennessee, much like the rest of US, did not see much of fall colors in 2019. Whatever little foliage showed up, came towards the beginning of 2020 spring. I explored numerous backroads around Memphis early mornings & late evenings & was able to capture some great colors.

This image was taken on the Collierville Arlington Road, one of the back roads leading up from Memphis all the way to Millington. A large part of this road takes you through quiet streets lined with beautiful trees & bowers. The undulating landscape of this region provides some very beautiful photography opportunities.

On the other side though, driving north towards Millington on the same road, the landscape is slightly different. The road runs through fields of cotton, maize and various farms growing pecans & apples. Occasionally by lanes would lead to more habited areas and townships.

The above picture is in the early days of fall when the leaves are mostly green, though you could see many turning yellowish as the season ripens to winter. These images are also available in various prints from the online shop.
