The Ultimate Books on Non-Duality

If you have read through the 5 incredible books on non-duality and have established a “concept” of the Self, Awareness & Consciousness, it might be worth taking the next step to read, what I would think are the ultimate literature on non-dual philosophy.

Only once in a while do we humans benefit from having an incarnation within us who could show the meaning of such books by living their life in such a fashion. One such was Sri Ramakrishna, who as Swami Vivekananda mentioned “living example of the Indian spiritual treasures of the Vedas & the Vedanta and all Indian scriptures” for he led the life of Truth, Love & Bliss.

My attempt here has been to share those literary jewels that I came across, that in some ways have helped me shape my personal concepts of the philosophies of non-duality & provide some instructional directions on the practical aspects of mentoring myself in those lines.

Keeping that in mind, here are 3 highly advanced thoughts on non-duality. I cannot say (at the time of writing this) that I fully comprehend their meaning or implication but that I have a very faint idea of what they might be alluding to.

Emerald Tablets of Toth & Kybalion

Although the writings of Toth are on a variety of subjects including hermetism, science, alchemy & administration,  it still remains largely a collection of occult wisdom to enlighten the future generations.

Both the Emerald tablets of Toth & the Kybalion talks about the philosophy of One God, the concept of soul, the reality behind all Creation, the unity and interconnectedness of everything in the universe, the relation between life on earth and the life Above, and much more information and wisdom that can open the eyes of a passionate seeker to the divine truth.

Uddhava Gita & Ribhu Gita

The Uddhava Gita is a collection of the last instructions given by Lord Sri Krishna to his disciple Uddhava. This collection is also known as the Hamsa Gita. While the Bhagavat Gita was his instructions to Arjuna on the aspects of work & Karma Yoga, the instructions to Uddhava were to go beyond those that affected the Karmic life. It is almost like seeing through the eyes of Awareness & acting through the bodies of Consciousness itself.

The Ribhu Gita was one of Sri Ramana Maharshi’s favorite books. This very little known book escaped the eyes of many but somehow found its way into the hands of the true seekers. I can treat this explanatory discourse as the last word on non-duality, but also could have been the one and only complete book on the subject.

Combined with the Uddhava Gita, the Ribhu Gita leaves no place for any second thoughts on the nature of Awareness & Consciousness in the readers’ mind and convinces the seeker that the one & only existence is the Awareness that reveals through Consciousness & experiences as the Self.
