There are two striking features of the mid-South when compared to the East Coast. Almost flat, mildly undulating land and the trees. For a photographer in this part of the country, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri & Mississippi provide a quite unique landscape through the seasons.
Many of these fascinating trees are in these posts:
- Mid South Fall Foliage
- Sunrises over cotton fields
- Foggy Winter Mornings along Backroads
- Trees in Late Fall
- Sunsets in Mississippi Valley
The most beautiful backroads around Memphis are Rt 14, Rt 51, Pleasant Ridge Road, Houston Levee Road, Brunswick Road, Millington Arlington Highway, Route 70 & 79, Cuba Millington Road, Route 59 & Route 112. Within 20 – 30 miles of Memphis in these backroads you will find such amazing wide open landscapes, cotton fields with morning fog and many with these amazingly beautiful trees.
